Off to Yarndale...

The 5 hour train journey from Bath to Skipton whizzed by with cups of tea and crochet to keep me going.

I knew I'd arrived at the right station just from the bunting everywhere!

We walked to Yarndale and had lots of helpful directions from the handy hints everywhere ... the family of ducks were definitely my favourite.

On our way we popped in to Lucy and Tracy's beautiful Studio, it was quite surreal standing in this totally gorgeous room that I've only ever seen in the virtual world. Definitely want a room like that too ! Obviously had to make a little purchase - but more of that later.

Arrived at pretty much opening time and there was already a queue to get in.

The most amazing sight met us as we walked in to the ticket hall...

...even the cattle were buntified !

Lovely to see Alpaca's and Angora rabbits in amongst all the wool stalls.
We met Lovely Lucy from Attic 24 - high five to you Lucy ..... JUST AMAZING !!
You and your team of 6 must have worked so hard, and what an amazing response to have so many people coming from all over the world .

The Yarndale bus was a lovely sight to see to take us back to town once we were all walked and shopped out.

Fabulous day - bring on Yarndale 2014.

Best of times.

Headed straight to The Wild Oats Cafe for lunch to complete our Crochet Pilgrimage.

Oh, and did I buy anything ?
Silly question - it would have been rude not to...

Lots of lovely new wool, all about cottons at the moment as I'm having a bit of a dish cloth phase..

... my beautiful little grey spotty hare from The Studio - thank you Tracy, I love her !

and then of course we just had to pop in to Purl and Jane on the way home.
