One down ...

This little basket of scrumptious wool and jute string
will be my constant companion for some time to come,

as from these things,
40 little hearts need to materialise.

They don't take too long and I have plenty of time as they are
not needed until Megs wedding in August ...

.... but I thought I should make a start nevertheless.
Progress was slow with only one crossing the production line on Saturday,
but thanks to a cold and grey day, and a log fire being lit at 12:00 pm yesterday
afternoon the grand total of 5 has been achieved !

And just in case I should have some time on my hands when I'm out and
about I have a little bag of
'hearts to go' all packed up and ready.

  2. We're on with saving tin can, jam jars, squirreling away large fallen branches in the woods behind us for collection later and purchasing wooden ladders from ebay to make an arch for Becky's wedding.

  4. They are lovely, I bet this wedding will be uber gorgeous. I have taken a leave from your book and took my knitting on a day out last week, when it lashed down I took refuge in a café and knocked up another 5 rows.

  6. Its brilliant that you're making for your daughter, my 10 year old has just entered the "everything mum makes is naff" phase. I suppose that's it for the next decade or so. Oh well it was nice while it lasted!

  11. They're lovely Kate, gorgeous colour and the Rowan siena gives a lovely finish. I'm sure you'll have them done in plenty of time, remember how quickly all those pom poms multiplied for the lovely blanket you made recently! Happy heart-making.
