Busy, busy ...

I have to admit to feeling just a tinsy bit like a headless chicken at the mo,
with lots of whizzing about from here to there
and every half an hour being accounted for.

Wedding preparations are gathering pace ...

... I have finally managed to get around to buying fabric for my dress,

and with emergency supplies of more yarn being bought
the pile of roses for the garland continues to grow.

But its fun ! I am loving every minute.
I'm not good at sitting around with nothing to do
so I am most definitely not complaining.

And then in amongst all the normal day to day stuff
there are patterns to be designed and tutorials to be written up,

These little Animal Taggy Blankets were this weeks Lovecrochet tutorial
and I have to say a big thank you to everyone for all the amazing positive
feedback  I have received about these.

Right up until the very end of making the first one I really wasn't sure if the idea
that I had so clearly in my head was actually going to work in reality,
but literally as soon as I attached the ears and sewed on the eyes they just came to life.

The full pattern and tutorial is all yours over at this link
http://blog.lovecrochet.com/crochet-with-kate-animal-taggy-blankets/
and it doesn't cost a bean !

And then of course, as one project ends , another one starts ....

Have a great week everyone.

  2. I wish I had half your energy! I have 7 weeks school hols and I still seem to be dragging my heels ( mostly due to woolly minded dithering what pattern, which wool, how many colours) And then there are blogs to read, more wool to dither over, and a spot of house work, don't know how you manage to to contemplate a wedding too!! I suspect it will be fabulous and I can't wait to see pictures of the decorations in place. x

  5. Wow, so much energy Kate and lots of lovely things being made! I'm in a slump at the mo. I have so much to do, I'm a bit overwhelmed so I end up not getting anything done. Muggy weather and lots of headaches aren't helping, so I've spent the last couple of days just taking it easy. Shove some of your energy and enthusiasm my way pretty please?!!!!!!!!! Xxxxx

    1. So Ness .... I have packed up a very large box of 'get up and go' this morning and popped it in the post to you !! :-)
I hate that feeling where you have so much to do that it just paralyses you - I definitely agree that a little bit of sun would help enormously !
Have a chilled and relaxing weekend, K xx

  6. Does a day ever go by without you having a hook in your hand? I don't know where you find the time. So looking forward to seeing the fruit of your labour decorating your daughter's wedding venue. Btw, inspired by your daisy garland, I had a bash at my own which I finished tonight. It's far from perfect...but I like it. x
